Message	several times for a start. Then adjust it like the posted link says. Back the switches out and adjust the rod until the pedal comes up and just closes the switched. You should then have very slight play at the top and no issue getting into gear. I know some aftermarket high clamping force clutches seem to take a little more pedal stroke and still end up having to have the pedal right on the floor to get into gear.
